Hold on, it appears the USB 3.0 is on its way. For months we've heard rumors and speculation on the features that will be available. It appears now that specs are set and the USB 3.0 will be released soon. Once of the best new features that will be available is based on speed. That’s right, it’s reported that the USB 3.0 will be close to 10 times faster. That means you can cut down wait times for downloads, file transfers, etc... By 10.

In addition there are other features that look exciting as well. For one, the connector is designed to support other devices as well such as cell phones and MP3 players. It is also backward compatible meaning your current USB2 devices will still work. Other improvements are in the areas of power management. Overall the USB 3.0 looks very exciting and the improvements will benefit many of the high powered devices such as HD camcorders, cell phones, external hard drives, MP3 / Video Players and more.
