htc-dreamThe HTC Dream is the premiere mobile smartphone to be released in the United States of October 2008 to fully support “Android” the open source OS from Google made for mobile devices. This particular smartphone gives users simplified and instant access to all their personal Google application needs, applications like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Search and Youtube.

Another delight of the HTC is that users have access to Google Maps Street View which can give users a virtual trip of a variety of world locations right on their mobile device. This is made possible by the phone’s high-speed 3.5G network connectivity and Wi-Fi capacity with smooth transition to open networks.

Users can effortlessly install and load programs, music, and games all with just a push of a button. A neat Dream feature is this phone fits itself with a digital compass and motion sensor. Never miss a moment with a built in 3.2 megapixel digital camera to take all those beautiful colored photos wherever you maybe.

This smartphone also boasts of a 3.2-inch HVGA resolution TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive screen, which can slide out of the way to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard, which also includes a set of six navigation buttons. You can personalize your main screen with immediate notification when receiving email, instant messaging and text messaging.

Storage is not an issue with this phone as it has an SD 2.0-compatible micro-SD expansion slot that can support up to 16GB (and perhaps even more). The HTC Dream is equipped with a flash ROM of 256 MB and a RAM of 192 MB.

You will also never be lost again… The HTC uses its Google Maps and GPS navigation feature to help users find the exact places they are looking for. For multimedia the phone fully plays back .264, 3GPP, 3GP, MPEG4, and video streaming.

The smartphone battery lasts approximately 350 minutes for WCDMA and 406 minutes in GSM. Standby for the Dream is approximately 319 hours GSM and 402 hours for WCDMA.
