Mitsubishi Digital Electronic has just released their new HDTV and technology called the Laservue. The technology used could be the start of a whole new era in television. In relation to the Plasma and LCD technologies, the Laservue delivers two times the color and exponentially less power to do so.

Without getting to technical, their laser beam technology outdoes most other options out there. Releasing the 65 inch model at a suggested retail price of $6,999, you are paying a pretty penny in comparision to the dropping prices of Plasma and LCD screens.

As impressive as the TV appears to be, i am not sure the general public is quite ready for this option. Given the current market conditions and dropping prices of other options, the Mitsubishi Laservue television may be reserved for those who are not suffering from the current crunch.
